Who would have thought, that the pair of hands that brought down all of Olympus, that spilled the blood of countless men and monsters alike,
that still bear upon them the scars of burning blades and the ashes of a family long lost... could still find it in them to be tender.
Well, for the past few days I've been watching Jack's playthrough of the new God Of War, and I just want to say I am floored by the sheer
masterpiece its narrative alone is. And being the sap that I am, I was touched immensely by how Kratos' and Atreus' budding relationship was fleshed out.
Kratos learning how to be a father yet again, all those moments where he wants to reach for his son but not knowing how, I just LIVE for that stuff
As for Atreus himself, well... he's such a humble and gentle soul despite his Spartan blood, so obedient and mature and intelligent, and battle-scarred for one so young.
The result was expected I simply had to draw him, my sweet soneven though he needed a good spanking at some point
Anyways, I'm extremely happy but also relieved with the final result. This time I tried to follow some advice for painting skin with watercolor,
but I also wanted to try my hand at both textures and facial expressions, both of which aren't things I'm notoriously good at
Regardless, this was a valuable learning experience for me, not to mention really fun. I'm not sure if I'll be getting the game for myself
since I don't have enough muns at the moment and I'm too far along in watching the playthrough, but I'll be keeping it in mind...
